Jordan is a 5 year old boy who’s Mum has just opened a bank account for him. What service or product can a company that historically produces ATM’s supply to Jordan to enhance his understanding of the concept of banking?


The sub-brief we set ourselves was “What is important to Jordan?”

Research demonstrated that money, and subsequently monetary value, were not concepts easily managed by children 7 and under. By replacing any monetary banking connotations with the wider concept that banking was simply a secure method of storing something, the team were able to produce a concept far more valuable and constructive to the user. In this case a method for banking imagination and imaginative play.

Child Banking is the concept of banking imagination and imaginative play. Produced for NCR in response to a brief set to uncover gaps in their current market and extend their service proposition portfolio, the concept was received as challenging in terms of current perceptions, and thoroughly researched.
